PUPPETS and TOYS
This is similar to the dress up story ideas, but this time your child(ren) take on the role of narrator, using toys, teddies and other props, such as masks, to create, revisit or adapt stories. The benefit of using toys or masks as props, is that it allows your child(ren) to step away from ‘themselves’ and narrate the experience from another’s point of view. Thinking about others is foundational way of developing constructive and thoughtful social practices.
