Global Themes and Topics are resources designed to support the inquiry into a theme or topic across a range of subjects. Within the IB PYP these units of inquiry are described as transdisciplinary units of inquiry. They are concept, knowledge and skill driven.
These are research and inquiry topics that are interwoven into many different curriculums across the world. The units of inquiry move between subject areas, interweaving discipline skills, knowledge and understandings. The units are designed to explore perspectives, ideas and attitudes that global citizens may share, explore or express.
